Working With Me

Finding a therapist can be a daunting task, so let’s make it easy. I provide consultations, brief or long-term therapy on a variety of issues including but not limited to relationship issues, depression, self-esteem, anxiety and child custody matters. I have an empathic, positive, non-judgmental approach. Whether you’re dealing with something long term, or some kind of immediate crisis, I promise you that I will provide a comfortable environment for us to work together. I have experience working with adolescents, children, couples and families, and I’m very comfortable providing individual therapy sessions. Seeking therapy is a very brave, yet very personal endeavor. Together, we will make positive changes by ending unhealthy patterns of thoughts and behaviors, and with those changes, you’ll live a happier and healthier life.

My interest in becoming a therapist dates back to High School. It seemed like I was always the one others sought out when they had “a problem.” In their words, “I like talking to you; you’re easy to talk to.” So when it came time to start college and pick a major, I knew psychology was the major for me. I obtained my Associates of Arts Degree, bachelor’s degree, and then finally my master’s degree. Once I had my master’s I had an opportunity to work as an intern in a private practice setting. Private practice allowed me the opportunity to provide my clients with the best personal service possible. During that time, I also co-facilitated psychodrama groups at several hospitals as well as lead weekly men’s, women’s and children’s support groups. After working as an intern for several years, I had the opportunity to work for Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, (DCFS).

One of my strengths is my ability to connect with people. I take pride in providing my clients with a safe, nurturing environment free from judgment. I am solution based and come from a position of understanding and empathy. I truly believe that we all have the capacity to change behaviors or circumstances that are getting in the way of our ability to live happy lives. I look forward to taking the journey of change along with you.
