Working with Me

I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience working in the field of social work with minors and adults. Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals coping with various issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, mental health, substance abuse, and parenting. Much of my work has been with the Latinx and immigrant community.

In 2005, I worked for a non-profit organization, Hispanics Against Child Abuse & Neglect (HACAN) as a program coordinator. I provided children with training on “Good Touch, Bad Touch.” After my time with HACAN I pursued a career in law enforcement where I enjoyed serving my community, particularly the Spanish Speaking community and working with victims of crimes, abuse, and mental health issues. I realized that I wanted to focus my attention on helping individuals on their journey towards healing and being the better versions of themselves. In 2010, I pursued my Master of Social Worker degree from the California State University, Northridge. While in the Master’s program, I worked with survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence providing individual counseling.

In 2012, I began my employment at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as a Children’s Social Worker. Working in the child welfare system has furthered my clinical skills as I gained professional experience assessing safety and risk, managing crisis, stabilizing family situations, and learning the process through Dependency Court and Family Law Court. In 2021, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I enjoy working with my clients in helping them identify and address their past trauma. It it most gratifying to see my clients grow through the process of individual therapy.

I meet with my clients in person or via Telehealth.
